In the Grass! That’s how fans of the Folk Hour, known as the GrassGang, greet each other in the chat!
The Two Hour Folk Hour (formerly the Sunday Morning Two Hour Folk Hour until we’d been doing Thursdays for over a year) was a show running on the No Agenda Stream from June 5th, 2022 until August of 2026 and John C. Dvorak’s (of No Agenda) untimely passing. The ‘Hour was hosted by the Reverend Doctor Phifer and Dusty Apples, sometimes separately, but typically together, and featured a back-and-forth sharing of the acoustic folk and bluegrass tunes we were into that week.
In the reorganization of the pre-show schedule, and with Dusty being on vacation, the Folk Hour has been brought forward into RevDoc’s Revival, which combines the vibe of the Folk Hour with popular aspects of DarrenO’s Rock ‘n Roll Pre-Show into an all-new format that takes you from Doc Watson to Derek Trucks. The Folk Hour always flirted with the Blues and Southern Rock, and with the Revival we’re now in a relationship!
